The development of the „Tulipán” Orphanage was started for 20 orphans by the common work of theAlbert Wass Foundation - Czege and the Reformed Congregation - Holtmaros in 1999. We were led by the thought to make one of the dreams of the Hungarian writer - having lived in the USA-Albert Wass- a man was suffered from homesickness as he spent most of his life far away from his homeland - come into being to provide home for Hungarian orphans. The Orphanage which had been built by the help of God and many foreign donations was consecrated in October of 2000 and the first three orphans arrived from a state operated orphanage in March 2002. So far 14 children has been given home and the demonstration of love.
The children were baptized by the Reformed Bishop of Transylvania – Géza Papp and by other Reformed, Chatolic and Evangelical pastors in 2002. In the village all the children have godparents who help them in being brought up. Meanwhile the foreign godparents give financial support to the care of the children.
Our Goal: One is to provide keen care to the children from their early childhood to their age when one is able to be employed. The other is to behave as a parent who always support and help his / her child.
